Frequently asked questions

Why don’t you take insurance?

I believe that therapy should be available and accessible to everyone. While I am considered an “out of network” provider, I am able to provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential out of network coverage. Insurance companies often dictate treatment - including the frequency and length of care - in a way that dismisses the personalized approach that I believe effective therapeutic work requires. As a result, I choose to provide services without their “assistance.”

Do you offer sliding scale?

Sure do! In an additional effort to provide affordable care, I offer a limited amount of sliding scale space on my caseload. Feel free to reach out to inquire about any openings. If spaces are full, I’m happy to add you to my waitlist or assist you in finding other affordable options.

How long will therapy take?

Short answer: it depends. There is not one set schedule or formula for healing. While some clients come in with a very solution oriented approach and stay on for a shorter period of time (weeks to months), I also have clients on my caseload I have worked with for years. We do this at your pace, and continue to re-evaluate along the way to make sure therapy remains beneficial to you.
