Frequently asked questions

Why don’t you take insurance?

I believe that therapy should be available and accessible to everyone. While I am considered an “out of network” provider, I am able to provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential out of network coverage. Insurance companies often dictate treatment - including the frequency and length of care - in a way that dismisses the personalized approach that I believe effective therapeutic work requires. As a result, I choose to provide services without their “assistance.”

Do you offer sliding scale?

Sure do! In an additional effort to provide affordable care, I offer a limited amount of sliding scale space on my caseload. Feel free to reach out to inquire about any openings. If spaces are full, I’m happy to add you to my waitlist or assist you in finding other affordable options.

What am I paying for?

I do not take this role lightly. As a clinician I make it a priority to engage in continued education and consultation, as well as my own personal healing to ensure that I am providing the most quality service that I am able. Much of our therapeutic work depends on my ability to meet you where you are at and ensure that my own healing journey assists us rather than detracts us from the work.

Session fees cover not just the hour we are together, but also the education, resources, and continued support I am able to receive and provide throughout our therapeutic relationship. It is imperative to me that you get the best, most regulated and attuned version of me to assist you in reaching that version of yourself.
